Verdict
CAPTAIN KALLIS is a course winner and gets the vote here ahead of Chosen One and Nawaaff. Jamie Spencer looks an eye-catching jockey booking for this son of Captain Rio and the pairing should run well off this new mark of 56. He has question marks over the trip but he likes to chase a strong tempo and is unlikely to be far away. Rabbit Fighter was well-fancied at Wolverhampton last time out but flopped, Chosen One tries a visor and looks interesting on his run here behind Where's Reiley last month, whilst Cavitie ran well here earlier in the month and is considered despite a less than stellar draw. Shannon Golden looks well-handicapped, Nawaaff was third in a seller last month but has a little to prove on this surface, whilst Iron Max and Mr Rooney are both wildly out of form. Course and distance winner Calmdownmate would be interesting if the money came for a horse who is now rated 16lb lower than when winning here almost a year ago, however in a weak race the vote is given to recent winner Captain Kallis.
