Verdict
Overclear gained a first success since 2009 when coming home with plenty to spare at Fontwell last month but will find this a more demanding examination off a 9lb hike in the ratings. SEVENTH SKY was always jumping left when gaining an initial chase success at the same track on his third start over the larger obstacles but that shouldn't be too much of an issue here and hopefully he'll iron out such kinks in his technique with experience anyway. Previously, he'd revealed considerable promise on his first two fencing expeditions behind the likes of Grumeti and Makari and rates the obvious improver for a yard enjoying a good time this term. He should confirm form with Lemon Drop Red and a 5lb rise in the weights is acceptable. Buck Mulligan has talent but is becoming increasingly frustrating and we'll leave him for now.
