Verdict
Those with form in the book look limited on what we've seen to date and this is likely to go the way of a newcomer with the market likely to prove instructive. Uptendownone, Made Of Diamonds and Nervous Nineties are all worth a market check but CHALK FARM, another Darley-bred for John Ferguson, is taken to make a winning debut, the son of Singspiel representing a yard that boasts a 30 per cent strike rate in such contests over the past five seasons. Warren Greatrex isn't far behind with a fine 26 per cent strike rate of his own, which brings his Gold Away gelding, Going For Gold, into the equation, especially with the yard having made such an excellent start to the season. Gin And Tonic has an each-way chance on his debut run but was strangely tailed-off on his subsequent and latest outing.
