Verdict
A number of these have shown more than enough to go close in an ordinary summer maiden hurdle with TRICK OF THE TAIL the preference after a decent second at Bangor to a well-punted Irish raider. He stuck to his task well that day and could have been closer but for a last-flight mistake and was comfortably clear of the remainder. Outsmart made a pleasing hurdling debut when a Market Rasen runner-up and should step forward from that debut promise, whilst the likes of Call Me Rocky, Thorpeness and The Geordie Ginge have all displayed varying lines of ability at this level. The former could prove most interesting of that trio as the best of his Irish form puts him in here with more than decent claims.
