In depth
Verdict
There is a little more form to go on in the second division of the bumper but, as with the first division, those with previous experience do not make much appeal and Brilliant Cut is taken to make a winning debut at the main expense of Oscar's Delight and Chastleton Boy. The last mentioned showed promise first time out but would probably want a stiffer test of stamina to show her best form. Mick Easterby's Bluecoat would not need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning debut but makes limited appeal on pedigree and of more interest may be John Allen's Supreme Nova, who is a half-sister to the decent chaser Simply Dashing. Michael Chapman's Talpour showed some promise first time out and is another to consider although a bigger threat is likely to come from Oscar's Delight, who ran well on her debut at Ludlow last month and receives all the allowances going. The vote though goes to Brilliant Cut, who represents the stable of Nicky Henderson and is a Terimon half-brother to a winning two-mile chaser. Brilliant Cut may be too good for his rivals first time out.
