Verdict

MONSIEUR GIBRALTAR’s only defeat in his last five starts came when he unseated his rider at Ascot in March when close up. Page Fuller is the most experienced rider in this and her mount looks the one to beat. Last year’s winner Dabinett Moon beat Sedgemoor Express in an Open at Kimble in March and will again have her mares’ allowance. She can’t be ignored and the likes of Arthur's Secret and Knocklong should give a good account given recent form. Patricktom Boru was second 12 months ago and has place claims again but Owen Glendower may be getting a bit long in the tooth. Jack Barber’s Golden Hoof hasn’t been tested in two runs this year but faces much stronger opposition today.
