Verdict
A small field goes to post for the first on the card and it looks to be a straight forward opportunity for Murray River to open his account. The gelding from the Martin Pipe yard was slightly disappointing in this grade last time out when third behind Taw Park. However the step up to this trip is in his favour and he will be hard to beat. Man From Delcarrow rates the main danger he was a fair fourth in a better race behind Jollyolly last time and he has plenty of scope for improvement so he should follow the selection home. Running Times is another worthy of consideration but he has never won over a trip this far before so for that reason he is opposed on this occasion The remainder need to better their best to trouble the judge. So the confident vote goes to Murray River.
