In depth
Verdict
A wide open contest gets proceedings under way with many in form rivals in opposition including Mornin Reserves, Connect and Salviati and we will take a chance on Connect. The gelding was a good second off this mark behind Stathclyde last time out and a reproduction of that effort from what looks a good draw would make him hard to beat Mornin Reserves rates the main danger he was a good third behind Assigh Lady at the Curragh last time out and with conditions again in his favour he will not be far away. Salviati is another that could go well he has won his last two races in good style and although he has risen in the weights for his latest win when defeating Beyond The Clouds his young jockey takes off a handy seven pounds and that could make all the difference. Dubian Gift is another that could go well he has dropped to a handy mark and he goes particularly well at the track. Of the remainder Good Girl and Corridor Creeper are from shrewd yards and could go well at big prices but we are happy to side with the in form Connect.
