      Verdict

      Halling's Wish would have claims in a race like this on the pick of his form but hasn’t run over hurdles in almost 18 months. ASTRUM won in this grade over track and trip in April for his previous yard. A recent second at Hexham was his best run for current connections and he gets a handy 7lb from Raleagh Mountain, who drops into a seller for the first time but has become expensive to follow and may have exhausted Dan Skelton’s patience. Minstrel Royal won a Warwick handicap in April but is having his first run for a new yard after a break.
