Verdict

A very competitive handicap in which Dancer Life and Hors La Loi can be expected to be prominent, but Bernadon could be the answer and he gets our vote. Richard Guest's gelding reverts to hurdling after landing a Southwell handicap chase last time. It was an emphatic success from Master T in that contest and the return to the smaller obstacles shouldn't be a problem. Hors La Loi is not the force of old but is still capable of putting in a decent performance as he showed when winning here last October, he also comes here following a promising effort over fences. Dancer Life has taken time to find his feet, but Jonjo O'Neill's gelding came good in a decent event at Perth last time and he will not be far away this afternoon. Hat-trick seeking Monksford is another to enter calculations, but in a tough race Bernardon is a sporting selection.
