Verdict
Joint Authority can follow up his recent Fontwell success at the expense of Kind Sir, with Harik and Burning Truth seen as the other potential dangers. Joint Authority gained his first win for his current stable when making most at Fontwell recently, and as he was running out of steam at the finish, the decision to put him back to 20 furlongs should be the right one. The 10-year-old was a progressive sort when trained by Len Lungo, and is not too badly handicapped now. With regular partner Lucy Horner once again doing the steering, he is taken to gallop his rivals into the ground. Kind Sir appears to be the biggest threat judged by the way that he finished to be beaten a short-head at Worcester, but if the selection can build up enough of a lead, the latter will once again have to play second fiddle. Harik is fit from the Flat but has topweight to overcome, while Burning Truth may try and keep the selection company out in front, but has more to do than when winning in selling company at Hereford. All in all, Joint Authority is the one to beat on that last effort, and should prove to be the answer.
