Verdict
In a race that should not take a great deal of winning, Diversity may be the answer over Shady Anne and Prince Of Slane. There is not too much winning form to go here and so we shall rely on Jonjo O'Neill and Tony McCoy to help us in the opener. Diversity ran his best race to date at Huntingdon in March when fourth to Fullards but was pulled up last time. That puts his chance into context but his trainer could not have found a softer race to try and get him to lose his maiden tag. The champion sits on him for the first time and should at least ensure that he gets a strong ride. Prince Of Slane was not beaten too far at Wetherby last time and should appreciate the step up in trip, while Shady Anne, placed on her last two starts, could be booked for a place at least with the cheekpieces on to help. Soviet Society showed a glimmer of form last time, and Major Reno lines up on the back of a win between the flags a fortnight ago. A weak contest can go to Diversity who gets a tentative vote.
