In depth
Verdict
Fiefdom should be spot on after two outings and is taken to beat Golden Fury and Kanad. Mark Johnston's colt improved on his debut fifth to Norcroft to finish a close up fourth in a hot York maiden. The form looks rock solid as the runner up has since been successful and the third was just touched off at Newmarket last time. Kanad has also had two outings and showed enough when second at Nottingham to suggest he can win a race, although this does represent a step up in class. Of the newcomers John Dunlop's Golden Fury is superbly bred by Cadeaux Genereux out of a Blushing Groom mare and will no doubt be ready to run for his life. The best of the rest could be Mozafin who will come on leaps and bounds for his debut effort, but preference on this occasion is for Fiefdom.
