Verdict

HILLS OF ARAN, Winsley Hill and Black Beauty make the shortlist here, with the first-named getting the vote. Hills of Aran was a classy hurdler, and made no mistake on his debut over the bigger obstacles, routing his field. He looks set to be a mjor player over fences and can harvest some of these summer contests. Winsley Hill may turn out to be better over fences than hurdles, judged on his two outings to date, third on his chasing debut, but then an emphatic scorer next time. He is not well treated at the weights however on his hurdling form and is opposed. Black Beauty won in gane style at Worcester, before being outpaced at Wetherby last time. The winner of that contest was soundly beaten next time, and his form looks ordinary. Hills of Aran looks worth following until beaten.
