In depth

Verdict

Polinamix, Mister Benedictine and Traprain are the three that catch the eye here, with Polinamix taken to bounce back to winning form. Traparain has had a good year, and after two very smooth wins, he was denied a hat-trick by a mistake at the final flight, and was then narrowly beaten subsequently. Despite flying up the handicap he has a leading chance and should not be passed over lightly. Mister Benedictine has been highly tried in some good juvenile contests this year, and has acquitted himself well, finishing second on three occasions. He looks set to go well against more experienced opposition here. Polinamix saw a winning run ended last time, and although there appeared no obvious reason for his unexpected defeat, the manner of his previous successes was impressive, and he is lightly raced and open to further improvement. This is a classy affair, and Polinamix gets the vote.
