Verdict
Bantam finished ahead of Midnight Jazz and Quiet Candid when second at Cheltenham in the spring and comes out best again at the revised weights. But she isn't straightforward and was beaten when odds-on at Newton Abbot last month. POETIC VERSE (NAP) won very easily at Market Rasen in August and followed that up with a close second in a Class 2 handicap on the Flat at Catterick. She should take all the beating getting 5lb from the top weight. Announcement is useful but would have preferred easier going, though is still preferred to Irish raider Troubled Soul and Northern Meeting, who was well beaten at Warwick after beating a subsequent winner at Worcester.
