Santera is our selection with Bedizen and First Boy sought as plausible alternatives. The selection showed a degree of resolution at Worcester when obliging in bottomless conditions and was far from disgraced off an 11lb higher mark next time around. She is ordinary but this is a very poor race. Bedizen has been kept busy on the level by Pam Sly. He would be a factor were any rain to arrive. First Boy is exposed as plating class. Declan Carroll has a fair record with his runners in this sphere and while he was outclassed in a Novice event at Market Rasen, he is much more likely to strike at this grade. Flash Harry has had a sizeable break so it will be interesting to see if that will make any difference. Sun Quest was second in a Wetherby claimer when with Ian McInnes. He ran lamentably next time out. Our Time has one or two useful pieces of form in relation to plating class. A record of 0 from 11 over hurdles says it all. Joe Jo Star has only had four starts over hurdles so he cannot be discounted just yet. A dire affair in all senses of the word and Santera is put forward with the minimum of confidence.
