In depth

Verdict

PARADISE EXPECTED probably did not appreciate the drop in trip at Market Rasen last time and Tim Vaughan's mare looks well worth another chance back over a more suitable distance today and she can resume winning ways, getting the vote ahead of Great Tsar and Prophete de Guye. The last mentioned has been in good form of late following a good win at Southwell with a decent effort when a close third behind Shake The Barley at Taunton but those efforts have been over two miles and he is not certain to stay this far so may be best watched. Jackella has run below par in his last two starts and of more interest may be the relatively lightly raced Bali Bay, who comes from the stable of Nigel Twiston-Davies. Charlie Longsdon's Great Tsar has been running consistently well recently and should again be thereabouts but preference is for Paradise Expected, who is back over his best trip.
