In depth

Verdict

BETTY BROWNEYES' defeat of Goring One at Folkestone earlier this month received a boost when the runner-up scored at Lingfield earlier this week. Tom George's mare has improved with experience over fences and looks more than capable of defying top weight in this. Back To Paris reared and unseated his rider on the Flat on his return from a break and may need more time, while Bid Art hasn't been seen since disappointing at Fontwell in September. Ravenscar is clearly a light of former days while Peak Seasons hasn't won for almost two years, though is arguably well handicapped if recapturing his best form.
