AL ALFA was in front and travelling best when slipping and unseating Richard Johnson at Wincanton nine days ago. He races off the same mark here and, with a clear round, should gain compensation as most of his rivals are returning from an absence. Havingotascoobydo is an exception and might be happier going back over fences but Arthur's Pass, who won three times at the start of the year, hasn't been seen since finishing third at Cheltenham in April. Sir Du Bearn won over a slightly longer trip here on soft going a year ago so could prove the pick of the remainder, though he's still 3lb higher.
