Verdict

This is likely to be run at a frenetic gallop and it could pay to race prominently around this sharp track. Very few have won over the trip but CAN MESTRET is a notable exception. A facile winner at the recent Fontwell hunter chase night, the ex-Irish gelding remains lightly-raced and could have plenty more in the locker in this sphere. He'll receive good assistance from the saddle from Gina Andrews and is taken to concede weight all round. He may even offer some each-way value if the money comes heavily for the ex-Paul Nicholls trained Tataniano, who showed he retains ability when winning easily at Kempton last time in hunter chase company. The drop is trip should not inconvenience and he's a massive danger. Parkam Jack is a thoroughly reliable hunter and looks the each-way option, although there has to be a concern about the drop to the this trip for the first time. He'll be staying on well on for certain though.
