    In depth

Richard Fahey and Michael Dods have made good starts to the season with their youngsters which necessitates a market check for newcomers Celebration and Mr Globetrotter respectively. Platonic Love also needs monitoring as she comes from Ireland to make her debut whilst Bathos has improved steadily over two runs but may prove more of a nursery sort in time. Haughmond showed plenty of promise on debut at Newmarket and his yard have enjoyed juvenile winners this term but we'll take a chance with BLUE HUMOR. Kevin Ryan likes to introduce some of his better juveniles at York and the American-bred colt shaped nicely enough with a mid-division finish in what looked a decent contest on the Knavesmire. He should come on a bundle and go close in an interesting maiden.

Haughmond 12-1 (8-9) Prominent, ridden and every chance over 1f out, kept on one pace, 3rd of 7, 5l behind Gifted Master (8-9) at Newmarket 5f 2yo stks (3) gf in Apr.
