      Verdict

      Rebecca Bastiman has made a solid start to life in the training ranks and SEE VERMONT can add to her seasonal total. 5f on good or firm ground is what's required so hopefully the rains will stay away from Gosforth Park and let's also hope he doesn't reproduce his antics when winning at Bath last time when galloping loose for some considerable time before returning to claim victory. He's 4lb higher for that win which seems fair and he's taken to see off Lazy Sioux, given a nice break by the in-form Richard Guest after going really well on her last three starts, including successes at Catterick and Wolverhampton. The consistent Roy's Legacy is respected, as is Classic Flyer. The latter takes on his elders on seasonal reappearance but David O'Meara does so well with his sprinters that his charge must make the shortlist in an ordinary affair.
