In depth
Verdict
Steel Summit has never won over hurdles but scored off a 9lb higher mark over fences at Huntingdon on Boxing Day and would be a threat to all if reproducing that form over the smaller obstacles. TARA TAVEY was only beaten a length-and-a-half over course and distance eight days off today's mark and should be thereabouts again and she's just preferred to Banks Road, who won over a longer trip at Plumpton last month and is only 2lb higher. Mr McGregor needs more but The Kvilleken could figure if staying the longer trip and old Earcomesthedream is still effective at this level and should be approaching peak fitness now.
