In depth

Verdict

It is not easy for bumper winners to follow up under a penalty and so we will swerve Hennessy on this occasion and go with Presentandcorrect, Willie Pep could prove best of the newcomers. The Phillip Hobbs trained gelding made a very pleasing debut in a decent looking contest at Newbury. He finished runner up to the potentially smart Witchata Lineman and with improvement expected he will be hard to beat this afternoon. Hennessy does look set for a good run following an easy debut win at Uttoxeter, while Sundarbob also ran well on his first racecourse visit. However if the money comes for Willie Pep take note. He is a a well bred son of Saddler's Hall and is related to numerous winners on the flat and over the jumps. This could turn out to be a pretty classy event and Presentandcorrect can land the spoils.
