Verdict
A weak selling hurdle to start the card and it may fall to Blue Leader, with Karakum and Mounts Bay the main rivals. The selection carries top-weight this afternoon but does have the best overall form. His third behind Margaret's Wish at Ludlow last week is the best recent form on show by a long way, and if not too tired from those excursions he should be capable of beating these. Karakum has put up two decent displays in similar company here this season, and although probably better over the shorter trip, should still be able to reach the frame. Mounts Bay contested a much better event than this at Wincanton last month and should appreciate this drop in class. Of the others, Denise Best has shown a glimmer of ability and could also figure in the finish, however Blue Leader is the clear form choice and gets the vote
