Verdict
The horses with form look nothing special so we will take a chance on the newcomer Vic The Piler, Oscar The Boxer and Treybor look the main rivals. Nicky Richards is not averse to sending out first time winners and this well bred son of Old Vic will not have to be too classy to land the spoils. He is related to numerous national hunt winners through his dams side and we fully expect him to go off the favourite. Oscar The Boxer appears to have the best form on show having finished fourth behind Izzykeen at Catterick last time, he is steadily improving and should get into a place. Howard Johnson runs Treybor who is well bred and may be capable of much more than he has shown so far. Iowa has hinted at ability and may prove best of the others, but in a very weak affair Vic The Piler is the choice
