Verdict

Motts Cross returned from a lengthy absence to finish a fair second at Exeter and is only a pound higher. However, CUSHUISH was right on his heels having been given plenty to do and he’s also a past course and distance winner – the placings may be reversed today. How's The Cricket remains winless and is upped in distance but he is a consistent sort who should be thereabouts again if he stays. Lakeside Lad’s second at Lingfield was his best run to date but he was still well beaten.
