          Verdict

          There is quite a large turnout for this mares¿ only contest for amateur riders, and the likes of Lady Turk and Lets Go Dutch have minor claims as does All Honey who has shown enough to warrant a mention. Douceur des Songes has been tried over fences and hurdles and over a variety of trips without success of late, so cannot be backed with confidence. The safest option could well be Mrs Pickles, a winner at Chepstow recently. That was over two miles and her ability back up in trip has to be taken on trust, but now that she has found her form again, Mark Usher¿s mare appears the stand-out bet.
