In depth

Verdict

In the fourth race, Dusty Dane gets the call ahead of Cruise Director and Joli Classical. A revised mark since winning has seen Dusty Dane held but he returns to a venue at which he has run well before and has to be considered today in a race that has little strength in depth. Visibility has become disappointing, while Widely Accepted is a bit in and out formwise and maybe has it to prove from his current rating. Redi seems to have had his problems, although he would hold claims on form of old, but the consistent Crusie Director gets a fair shout and he should strip fitter for his most-recent run, which came after a break. Joli Classical put in a fair effort at Exeter last time from today's mark and is another to give some thought to, while Garrulous and Helen Wood represent novice form and, getting in at the right end of the weights, are not ruled out by any means. Once again, though, the selection is Dusty Dane.
