Verdict

Dream Falcon, Vanormix and Clifton Mist should all go well in this Handicap Hurdle, but Vanormix is given the narrow preference. This gelding from the Martin Pipe yard has had his problems and has yet to fulfil expectations, but he has plenty of ability and should go well at this level. He was well beaten in a better race than this last time at Cheltenham, but has AP McCoy back in the plate here and should be able to make amends. Dream Falcon should give him most to do as he was an easy winner in an amateur riders' race at Ludlow last time. He is clearly on the upgrade and is a live danger to our selection. Clifton Mist is the other to consider as he has shown a consistent level of form, but he generally finds at least one too good and he is likely to do so once again here. This could be a fascinating match-up between Dream Falcon and Vanormix, but the latter is our tentative choice.
