Verdict

David Pipe runs two in this but the yard is going through a barren spell and neither Leoncavallo nor Nordic Combined are regular winners. Burrows Edge hasn’t been pulling up any trees over fences but is back on a winning mark over hurdles. The Russian Doyen has also been chasing but is could be very well treated back over the smaller obstacles, though RESERVE TANK has the more recent form over timber. He finished second off this mark at Stratford last May and it shouldn’t be forgotten than he is a dual Grade 1 winner. Dorking Boy may be the pick of the remainder.
