Mon Frere won twice on Polytrack when trained by Sir Mark Prescott but is having a first run since August 2019, though fitness is rarely a problem for one from his new yard. DEFINING BATTLE was also twice a winner on the Flat and made a promising hurdling debut at Newbury. He’ll know more today so has to go on the shortlist and makes more appeal than Camprond, who has placed in both starts so far over hurdles without looking anything special. Bright Eyed Eagle won over 1m4f last year for Ed Walker. Gelded in December, Olly Murphy hasn’t rushed the son of Gleneagles and he could be interesting if taking to jumping. Le Boulevardier is starting to look very one-paced.
