Calva D'Auge is eased in grade but the quicker surface raises a question mark above the top weight and several of today’s rivals. Chantecler appeared to have his limitations exposed when on a hat-trick at Wincanton but there are possibilities about Taunton runner-up Foreign Secretary and Olympic Honour if he stays the extra. Air Horse One and Organdi are previous course and distance winners and the latter will like the going, though has been off the track for more than 12 months. Tight Call bolted up under a big weight at Ludlow two weeks ago and should be thereabouts again, despite a 6lb rise, but Irish import DAVE AND BERNIE has only been raised 5lb for making a winning start for Oliver Signy at the same track so is just preferred.
