Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler ST JOHNS POINT finished a close second off a 13lb higher mark just over a year ago and, after a poor run of form, looks to be coming back to his best. He was there with a chance when falling on this track and showed that another victory is imminent with a fine second at Musselburgh. Better Days went up 7lb for last month's victory at Lingfield and has run very poorly in two subsequent starts but the lightly-raced Sweettoothtommy should now be getting the hang of the job after a couple of starts over fences. Dropzone has been in good form over hurdles and won here last month though he's yet to convince over fences but Fuhgeddaboudit has been undone by poor jumps in his two recent starts over fences and could prove a threat with a better round.
