      Verdict

The Pink'n made a successful debut over timber at Newton Abbot then found Class 2 company too hot at Sandown when Arizona Glory was also beaten a long way. Blacko had a couple of runs in France, finishing a close second at Lyon Parilly in October, while Chez Hans, a winner on the Flat in France, looked in need of the run at Fontwell when weakening quickly from the last. Night Edition, who has an outstanding pedigree, scored on heavy ground over 1m3f in the French Provinces in June and looks a very useful addition to David Pipe's team. He could provide the main threat to ZOFFEE, a winner on the level who led until the run-in on his hurdling debut at Market Rasen where a bad mistake at the last put paid to his chances and the winner has since finished second in a Grade 2.
