        Verdict

        Savalas, who has changed stables, has been here twice and won both though usually needs his first run after a break. At the opposite end of the weights, Tom's Reign Beau makes his handicap debut and races against older horses for the first time as does BALLINTOY HARBOUR. A half-sister to numerous winning sprinters, the latter goes for a hat-trick after landing novice contests at Pontefract in August and on last month's return at Newcastle and looks a typical Paul Midgley-trained progressive sprinter. The stable also run Saluti, who was in good form last summer and has dropped to a winnable mark but track winner John Kirkup could do with some rain.
