This handicap is always a tough one to crack, but Yakimov bolted up at Wolverhampton last time and could be well-in on his return to turf, so he is just preferred top the Easterby runners, Cat's Whiskers, Tough Love and last year's winner, Tedstale. Paul Cole's Yakimov could hardly have won more easily on fibresand last time, coming home six lengths clear of his nearest rivals. He had earlier shaped well enough when fourth in the Spring Mile at Doncaster and in mid-division in the Spring Cup at Newbury, and may just be on a lenient mark here. The Easterby family has a liking for this race and are practically mob-handed here. The pick of Mick's runners could be Cat's Whiskers, who is very tough and should be spot on after two runs this season. Nephew Tim saddles last year's winner Tedstale, who cannot be ruled out after winning at Newcastle on his reappearance, as well as Tough Love, who must also be given a chance on his nice win at Pontefract last time, when Cat's Whiskers finished behind him. Of the rest Sawwaah will find this much tougher than the claiming race he won earlier this week and does not look the most reliable of characters, so a bigger chance can go to Sarraaf, who was runner-up last year and remains in good heart.
