In depth

Verdict

Oso Rapido was still beaten a long way when runner-up over today’s trip at Ripon and Dancinginthesand never troubled the winner when placed at Beverley. No Mercy showed some promise when third at Hamilton and steps up in trip along with Leapers Wood, who caught the eye finishing strongly for third at Carlisle when well ahead of Ice Skate. But TORO STRIKE was thought good enough to debut in a Class 2 conditions race at Newbury and, though Richard Fahey’s colt failed to threaten the unbeaten Temple Of Heaven, he’ll find this a much easier task and gets the vote.
