Verdict
A wide-open finale but Captain Jameson could be worth a market check eased in grade and dropped in the weights. Last month’s Pontefract winner Mr Orange seeks a third course victory, as does Buccaneers Vault, while The Armed Man is a real course specialist having already won four times here. Chris Fairhurst’s sprinter came right back to form at Haydock last month so shouldn’t be far away again. Conga and Kindly only found one too good last time and Mina Velour was third on her reappearance at Haydock and doesn’t have many miles on the clock. James Watt is usually thereabouts but Newmarket winner TURN TO ROCK met interference last time at Hamilton when behind Conga and should give supporters a run for money granted better luck in-running today.
