Verdict
A small but competitive field goes to post for the first on the card and the principals look to be Mobsi, Optimal and Hathlen and we will take a chance on Optimal. The debutant from the Sir Mark Prescott yard is a Green Desert half sister to the useful middle distance performer One Off and she will not have to be anything special to win on her debut. Mobsi is another well bred debutante by Kingmambo and he is worth noting in the market. Of those to have run Hathlen showed little on his debut but he is from a yard that's runners usually come on for their first run so he would have definite place claims with that experience behind him. Step Perfect is another well bred sort worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with Optimal.
