Verdict

FURZIG has been running a bit better than form figures would suggest and is back on a winning mark – he’s won here in the past. Strawman was only beaten a length at Carlisle at the start of the month and Shake A Leg was third at Newmarket last month. Dubai Welcome will strip fitter for a run at Newbury and Wor Willie may also have needed the run when third at Pontefract but Vaynor still looks a couple of pounds too high. Knockbrex is back up in trip, however, and it would be no surprise to see the three-year-old in the firing-line.
