          Verdict

          A particularly competitive sprint in which a high draw may prove to be an advantage and with that in mind Pax, who is berthed in stall 16, should prove difficult to keep out of the frame. The David Nicholls-trained five-year-old has been in excellent heart over a variety of trips, winning twice at Southwell and Leicester of late, and still looks fairly treated. Madame Roux is still a maiden but has had little racing and shaped well on her recent return while both Pilgrim Princess, who comes here in fine fettle and the fairly treated College Maid are others to consider from a favourable draw.
