Verdict
Not a strong contest by any stretch of the imagination but if the rain stays away this looks a good opportunity for Far Note. Tim Etherington's charge ran well to be placed on all five starts last year when with Barry Hills including a close third behind Dandoun in the Wood Ditton. Not disgraced on his seasonal reappearance in a competitive handicap at Pontefract, the son of Distant View should belatedly get off the mark. Leominda was a promising fourth on her debut at Nottingham and is entitled to progress while newcomer Zamir (by Zamindar out of a Dancing Brave mare) from the Lynda Ramsden stable is worth noting in the market.
