Mac O'polo came up short when sent off favourite at Hyadock and has yet to race over this far. Kings Gold has gone close the last twice now but is still searching for a first win and so is Ravenswood, narrowly beaten in both starts for his current yard and sporting first-time blinkers today. Hussar Ballad finished a close-up fourth at Ripon last time but does most of his winning on the all-weather and BOGARDUS is preferred after a couple of placed efforts at Kempton given he’s won three times on Turf before.
