Pepys and Rebel State won their respective divisions of the same handicap at Ayr last month but the latter has been beaten since and the former is 7lb higher today. Fleetfoot Jack has been thereabouts recently but both last year’s wins came on soft ground while Al Khan does his wnining in plating company nowadays. The veteran Kiwi Bay was winning off a higher mark last year and could bounce back at anytime but a chance is taken on ROSY RYAN making a winning reappearance given an apprentice’s allowance means she can effectively race off a lower mark than when scoring at Ripon in September.
