      Verdict

Boudica Bay opened her account with a victory over 5f at Catterick in September and is 3lb higher on her return but Miracle Garden was beaten in an amateurs’ race last month having won at Kempton before that. Ginger Jam was only fourth off today’s mark at Newcastle after scoring at the same track in January when beating Roaring Rory in the process but several are looking to exploit a slide down the weights including Jessie Allan, Milton Road and MESHARDAL. The latter went close on several occasions last year off much higher marks and gets a speculative vote in something of a lottery.
