        Verdict

        Pax seems to be in a different frame of mind since switching to the stable of David Nicholls, judged by his win on Southwell's turf course last time, and under just a 6lb penalty has solid claims of following up. If unable to reproduce that form, Mantle's Pride who goes well for Kevin Darley, has trip and ground in his favour and another fast-ground horse Full Spate, who is entitled to come on for his reappearance, look the most likely winners.
