          Verdict

          ECCLESTON won this last year off this mark in similar conditions. Even better drawn this time around, David O'Meara's five-year-old can stage an encore as Danny Tudhope prefers him to stablemate Highland Acclaim. Fendale is interesting after a fine run behind Roudee in the Great St Wilfrid consolation race at Ripon when Handsome Dude was behind. He's been going better than this year's form figures would suggest though had a rear view of Intense Style on soft going at Doncaster in June. Newmarket runner-up Lucky Beggar is potentially well treated but seems better over 5f. Mick Easterby will surely find a race for Magic City off his current mark but he'll do well to overcome a low draw in this. Stable companion Holiday Magic may also be inconvenienced by his starting berth and Ocean Sheridan will start against the far rail but Michael Dods' other runner, My Name Is Rio, has stronger claims than most.
