        Verdict

        Mark Johnston's juveniles normally improve for their first outing but his runner here, Colour Vision, will need to step up on the form shown at Newmarket two weeks ago if he is to trouble the judge. Mahmood Al Zarooni's Grand Duchy was narrowly beaten by Menadati in a Beverley maiden on his debut earlier this month and has solid claims, while Saeed Bin Suroor's Pivotal colt Ru'oud could be of interest first time up as he would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning debut. Preference though is for Richard Fahey's VENTURA SANDS, who made a pleasing debut when headed close home at Newcastle over seven furlongs on his debut a fortnight ago and he can go one better today.
